Vicky has been at Howards for over 15 years and has lots of experience in accounts and customer service and enjoys assisting patients with frame selection.

Stuart Wilson

Optician

Stuart has worked at Howards since 2003 when he began training under the supervision of Mr Marlow (the previous owner and son-in-law of Mr Howard who originally established the practice back in 1958). Having been qualified for 20 years, Stuart is a very experienced optician who prides himself on giving honest, professional eyecare advice.

“Since becoming practice co-owner in 2010 I have been determined to continue the business ethic and professionalism that I always admired in Mr and Mrs Marlow. My wife, Lisa, and I aim to continue providing the traditional independent eyecare that Howards is known for whilst keeping up–to-date with the latest services and products in our ever-advancing modern world.”

Lisa Wilson

Optician

Lisa joined her husband Stuart at the practice in 2011 after working for one of the multiple opticians since qualifying in 2006. She, like Stuart, strives to provide patients with a friendly and caring eye health service.

“We put our patients needs first, from understanding their concerns about their eyes to helping them choose the best spectacle frame or contact lenses for them. We like to take that extra time to really ensure we are providing a complete eyecare solution but in a friendly relaxed environment.”

Tracy

Dispensing Optician

Tracy has been a fully qualified dispensing optician for over 17 years. She first joined the Howards team in 1996 and went on to complete the Dispensing Optics university degree course in 2007. Tracy has a great passion for frame and lens selection and enjoys choosing from the wide ranges of ophthalmic frames and sunglasses the various brand representatives show to us, to ensure the practice has something for everyone.

Janet

Optical Advisor & Receptionist

Janet is our longest-serving member of the team, she started working at Howards in 1990.

“As a family run business we are in a privileged position of getting to know our patients really well and so over the years it has been great to meet lots of different people and to build up lots of friendships.”
